"Spitting on the System" and "At Large" were poetry and performance nights presented at Track 16 Gallery, at Bergamont Station in Santa Monica. The events were presented to complement the concurrent Track 16 show "CAPITAL ART: On the Culture of Punishment".

"Spitting on the System" was curated by Jerry Quickly, and featured spoken word by Jerry Quickly, Exene Cervenka, Michael Datcher, Ramee Randall and 'Voice' (Erin Nichols). Beats were provided by Seditious DJ and Counterstryke

"At Large" featured the performance art of Joe Talkington, Lida Abdullah, Steve Irvin, Mario Ybarra, John Trudell and Keith Mason.
